Day 03  Drive to Satsam chorten and trek for 3 hrs to Taktsang Monastery. Trek back to Satsam Chorten and drive to Thimpu. Overnight at Thimpu.

 11 DAYS BHUMTHANG CENTRAL BHUTAN
In addition to places of interest in Paro,Thimpu and Punakha, another fascinating destination
is the sacred valley of Bhumthang. The picturesque drive to Bhumthang takes you through regions
profuse in flora and fauna, several  magnificent mountains passes and places of great historical importance.
The Tongsa Dzong is a prime example. It is by far the largest dzong in the county and was is olden times the eat of the dominant power is feudan. A three hours drive from Tongsa takes you up to a height of 12000 feet (yotola pass) and then down to 9000 feet to the valley of Bhumthang. considered the most sacred valley. Bhumthang has a rich variety of religious, historical sites and ancient places of the ruling family of the valley. The cultural trip of Bhumthang also where Guru Padmasamhava meditated. He was the great saint who confered the Bhutanese,
from pagon worshippers, to peace loving Buddhist.

To enter Bhutan we must be in prior receipt of details  such as Full Name, Passport number, Nationality, Date of Birth, Sex, Occupation and the Permanent address to facilitate visa processing. Based on the reference number provided by the Bhutan Tourism Bureau Visa's for Bhutan is available upon arrival at Paro and costs US$ 20.00 per person for 2 weeks and an additional fee of US$ 15 towards conservation fee,payable directly to the Government upon arrival at Paro airport. 3 passport photographs are needed  Extension stay beyond 2 weeks cost an additional USD 20 per person,per 2 weeks.
